Ergo Creative has grown and evolved since being founded as Dandelime in 2009, here is our story in a brief timeline, and an introduction to our team.
The agency was founded in 2009 by Design Director Tom Walton, to put inspirational ideas into production through brand, digital and industrial design, and was originally incorporated as Dandelime Ltd. The name simply aimed to sound unique, happy and green.
Leading creative and an Industrial Designer, with over 15 years’ experience. Working on branding, structural branding, packaging, product design, spatial design and graphic design for leading brands such as Unilever, P&G, Coca-Cola, Wyeth, Reckitt Benckiser, Kimberly-Clarke, Sara Lee, Mars food, Jaguar Land Rover, Mastercard and more, Tom has a wide experience to call on, designing stand-out projects.
After a call with Tom to discuss doing something more creative, Justin joined shortly after the agency was founded. With over 20 years’ experience in web design, UI and digital graphic design Justin has worked on digital graphics, responsive websites, apps and online media for major brands such as Mastercard, Honeywell, Dell, Corporate Rewards and IAG Loyalty.
At this time we had two clear workstreams, custom design for B2C sales where we focussed Dandelime, and B2B agency work for which we created a new division called Emblime, to market this more effectively. The name was a nod to the parent name Dandelime® and a play on the word emblem, and our ‘E’ Logo was born.
Louisa joined the team in 2013, and despite relocating, continues to work for us remotely. She specialises in a blend of Marketing, Branding, Graphic Design and Copy Writing & Editing. Louisa has a flair for Elegantly styled graphics and brands.
Neil joined the team in early 2015 to help with new clients and became a director in 2016. Heading up the digital and web development team with over 20 years’ experience Neil is focused on development of bespoke web systems, applications and server solutions to keep Ergo’s clients ahead of the curve. Projects include Microsoft, Dell, Honeywell, custom property portals, websites, live video solutions, and interactive kiosks for clients such as Shell, Diageo, GSK, Metro Digital and Thompson Scientific.
First joining us while finishing his degree, Chris then stayed on and is now part of our London team. Chris has a high skill level in 2D graphical layouts and 3D modelling creating life like visualisations, fly through animations and interior and exterior scenes, from yachts to packaging. He has previously won awards in design for Taylors of Harrogate, RSA, Nestle; and most recently been recognised as a finalist in BOAT International’s Young Designer of the year award. He has been involved with product and industrial design for some of our key jobs including Jaguar Land Rover and My Key Machine. With a glossy and premium finish his work is of very high standard.
Emblime had grown sufficiently it was time to move it to limited company status by autumn 2015.
Josh joined the team mid 2017 to support our growing graphics and video workload. With an eye for animation and a passion for iconic graphics and videography, Josh's meticulous detailing creates clean and communicative graphics. Josh has created animations, comms design, digital graphics and videos for Mastercard, Barcode Warehouse, The National Archives and Cadent Gas along with many of our other clients. Richard is also the lead in our Reporting division Think Corporate Reporting. Experienced in all Corporate Communications, working with long-term FTSE 100, AIM clients, Educational businesses, and Sporting and Business Charities such as Business in Community.
We became Ergo Creative on the 24th May 2018. With another growth spurt and the rise in scale of our customers, we decided it was time to have a name with more purpose, that retained our ‘E’ identity and simplified how we communicated with our clients.
We moved into our current building to accommodate the larger team and allow for future growth.
We made the decision to close Imogen Furniture officially, to focus all of our attention on our growing agency.
Gina joined us in May 2019 and works on digital marketing and campaign design and management for both Ergo and our clients, keeping us on trend in the digital marketing world. Her passion for advertising is supported by her degree in Visual Communications. As the digital marketing world progresses daily, her natural interests mean the campaign possibilities for us and our clients are always expanding. Gina is the key contact for our HubSpot Partnership, and also assists with project and account management, working with clients such as Barcode Warehouse and Nord Anglia Education.
Having come from working for a major hotel brand, seeking a job that was varied and client facing, Kristina joined the team at the start of 2020. Her focus is on graphic design, working on campaigns for clients such as The National Archives and Barcode Warehouse and producing digital graphics and illustrations for Nord Anglia Education. Sam joined the team in June 2021 after a career change during the pandemic. He previously worked in the care industry for nearly a decade. After deciding he needed personal change and growth, he started a course with Code Institute and gained a diploma in Full Stack Web Development. While nearing the end of his diploma he noticed Ergo had a job opening and the rest is history. Since joining Ergo, Sam has been utilising and improving his HTML/CSS, JS, and react skills on projects for IAG Loyalty, Nord Anglia, some top secret projects and some Ergo custom tools.
While she was still completing her Masters’ degree, Abbi joined the Ergo team part-time at the end of 2022, having dazzled the Ergo team with her design portfolio. She has since finished her degree and now works for us full-time as a graphic designer. Abbi first knew she wanted a career in graphic design when she took a job role as an office admin at a previous design agency, again her design flare stood out and within a few months, she was taking on more design work than admin.
Her design skills are improving by the day, and since starting has done work for Nord Anglia Education and Access Partnership.
